Happy Holidays, all! For us, this Christmas was one of the best! It involved puppies and poop and a new range, Lakers Tickets (7th row), a white elephant and content grandchildren. Thanks to Ayo, who engineered the puppy escapade, and the range delivery, Jaaye who engineered the Lakers v Celtics court drama we will witness Sunday, Stephanie who solved the cold oven dilemma with candied yams and green beans while Charis topped it off with pumpkin pies and whipped cream.

This is the story of Adele Mathias, AKA Grandmother. Her middle name is Christmas--for years she brought Christmas from soup to nuts and a sleigh full of presents from her Orange County home to her 5 grandsons and their very tired parents. This Christmas, the 2nd eldest, Ayo, flew in from DC, intent on finding a puppy for Grandmother. Her dog Coco passed away earlier this year and she and her other dog "Sister" (a cocker spaniel) were still feeling blue. She had been looking for a puppy but could not find one. She was ecstatic and almost melted into a puddle when she saw this 8 week old pup she has named Angel. What a moment!
